Happy Lunar New Year!

Sandra’s very 1st New Year and she’s excited and basically grabbing Ang Pows! Now we really get to understand why we were so happy during Chinese New Year when we’re kids from Parent’s perspective. Almost every house/ party we we went to are “cater” for Kids. Best of all, Parents “Pay” and Kids “Gain”, while kids have fun with loads of kids and full of sweets. Parents on the other hand, gotta keep an eye on them. (ok ahem… ignore the part where all parents gather for “ban Luck”)
However, it’s really exciting to see Sandra with beautiful new clothes. And this New Year she gets a tastes of her very first fruit – Mandarin Oranges. Since we have loads of them and ate them almost everyday, she had them often too.

She also gets another type of “tastes” this New Year, which she don’t very often see. It’s the Mahjong Sessions! Well, what can be more fun than 4 person surrounding a desk closely with full of “Tiles Toys”, messing and throwing them with funny noises, as well as funny speeches like “Pong”, “Chi” and “Gang!”.

More Stunts

Clap hands! And there Sandra goes clapping her hands. Bye bye! She starts waving, not really waving but sort of turning her hands around. As a matter of fact, she claps day and night everyday, funny she keeps doing it for no obvious reason.

We decided to let her wear shoes, as she’s able to stand, not very stable but if she’s holding on to wall or something she can stand really long. Of course, she find it kinda weird this funny thing on her feet, but got used to it after a few times. We try to train her to walk everyday for an hour or so. She hardly crawl a lot but she loves standing and trying to walk with falls. Usually she will be sweating all over and with the wild jungle hairdo after much walking and falling, haha…

Since a few of her “fear factor stunts” falls from her walker, we knew we couldn’t keep her in it when she’s having her meals. The solution? A new baby chair. She sits well, happy and excited. But right after meals she starts her “fear factor stunts”again trying to climb over. Luckily the chair comes with a safety belt which we didn’t really use. So after a few of her “fear factor stunts” we decided to strap her, mind you the chair is much more higher and dangerous than the walker. She then end up with her legs on top, which is the max she can do.

So Mummy is now expecting, thus, can consider and “old bird Mum” already (old bird - Singlish = aka very experience). So how does Mummy use the computer during feeding time? See below for answer:
