Toys R Sandra

As with all first time parents, we have a tendency of buying lots of toys for our kids. So much so that now, we cleared an entire room specially for “storing” all of her toys! Out of a sudden, looking at all of her toys and packing those makes we realize one thing. We’ve had a little too much toys for her.

Most of her toys were gifts from relatives and friends, in fact, more than 60% are. However, the overflow of her toys came from us buying even more on top of these gifts. Thus, she had so many toys that she hardly has the time to really play them all. In fact, most of the time she chooses to play with just a few of her favorites, and never touch some of the others.

Being a bit freer now from work, we decided to packed her toys and guess what? There are lots of un-open ones! And lots of baby toys that are for 12moths below, so, they are consolidated and stored for Sandra’s little brother.

With so many Toys, she should be occupied, yes, but not really with her toys. Funny thing with babies or kids at above a year old, at this “exploration” age, they will prefer a lot of other stuffs other than toys. For Sandra, she loves pouring everything from Shampoos to towels from the cupboard and “play” with these “toys” for hours!

Sandra likes us to play with her too, she had a funny table which have lots of buttons and flippers. Whenever she presses one of the buttons which goes “boink”, she’ll look at us and we just shout “boink!” she’ll laughs non-stop, same goes to me and Caroline. Hahaha…

Looking back, we now know why when we’re kids; we always get new toys from parents even if we mis-behaved. It is because as parents, wanting your kids to be happy is more important than any other thing in the world. And toys are one of the most direct ways to archive that.
