Born with a Bang, grow to be a Man!

Donald was born with a Bang! I literally mean it. Compared to Sandra, he did not let us waited very long at the hospital. To me it was not rushing or hasty arrival, but I had this feeling of him being different from Sandra. Maybe Sandra's a girl, physically more soft. But as a boy he "feels" and "moves" like a tough shell! Ready to grow up to be a man, a real tough man!

I was right! I love Sandra's sweetness and softness. So cute and cuddly like a doll. But these days looking at Donald, I noticed how different it is to have a boy. He's rough, can feel it when carrying him. While carrying Sandra previously she feels so fragile, but with Donald, you can actually feels how strong this baby is at just a few days old. Especially the cries, oh my his cries are like roars from a Lion! I bet our neibours all around hear him clearly.

Worried he'll be difficult to handle? No, in fact, I am more worried if he behave softly! Why? Simple, he's growing up to be a man, not a lady... I want him to grow up to be a real man who dares, not a sissy guy who behaves cowardly.

So we decided to give him a blog on his own too (why not when the Sis already has one?), chooses a blue and more rouged design theme, and posts a little differently than Sandra's Blog.

Donald will grow up to be a real tough man! Able to face problems with great wisdom, intelligence and strengths. A man of integrity, strong and no hesitation to help the weak! Just like how you arrived to this world - with a Bang!

Sandra the Good Sister!

Donald’s arrival did worry us a little, we have heard a lot about the younger one would get really jealous etc… The myth is true, for a few days. Sandra adjusted quite well. Since last week, she had no more issue of waking in middle of the night when Donald cries. She also started to kiss him whenever she sees him crying for milk, which is really funny, and scary at the same time because we afraid she might hurt him accidentally.

But Sandra started the “I am a Good Big Sister” behavior pretty much from now, even though she’s just slightly over 15 months old, she behaved as if she’s 15 yrs old big Sister. Whenever Donald cries, she would show the sad face and immediately ran to him. Furthermore, she knows how to address him “Di Di” now. The best thing is she always “Sayang” his head and cuddle him, amazingly and surprisingly though..., we would like her to behave as such forever.

Maybe it’s our second baby, it seems we are more experience in handling him. With Mum’s help for the second time, this round the “routines” are clearly and more organized, as the last time we had Sandra was just a close year plus ago. But it’s still tough for Caroline, waking up for breastfeeding’s almost every 2 or 3 hours, while Daddy and Sandra sleep like pigs after waking and looking around making sure everything is ok.

Still, we're both drained after all the sleepless nights, yet the baby brings joy and healings to us whenever you look at them. Recently I met a couple of really annoying and dishonor people for work purposes, making life more tiring. Coming home with kisses from Sandra and the wonderful looks of Donald makes me sees the differences between the Devils and the Angels. I think only parents realized just how pure, truthful and sincere children really are, even though they are often the most fussy and noisy ones.

Both of us were also enlightened by the fact that our priority now are always focus towards our kids, with no keeping of anything but just giving. I hope when Sandra grows and read this blog; you will remember and know the love of Daddy and Mummy for you and Donald – unconditionally.

Welcome Donald!

Above picture taken just 15 mins after birth!

Time really flies… about a year and a half ago posting on this blog the very first time, on the first weeks of Sandra? Guess what? Now it’s time to welcome the arrival Sandra’s Younger Brother – Donald Chong, born on a very auspicious date of 08/08/2007 1:05AM!

Above left picture taken just 2 mins after birth!

The actual due date was suppose on the 22nd, just like Sandra, he chose to come to this world much earlier. And what’s better than to have a birthday, which is easy to remember and a Public Holiday (Singapore National Day) the next day? Donald’s arrival was swift too, took just around 4 hours plus and a mere 15 mins delivery. Ok it seems easy but brave Mummy did amazingly well too as this time round it was much painful than Sandra’s delivery.

Besides these numbers, Donald arrived at the same Hospital, delivery suit 6 (just next to Sandra’s 5), and Mummy stayed at the exact same Ward! 4D anyone?

The 2nd time I had have the chance again, to cut the baby’s cord. Maybe it’s because the Doctor knows we’re having the 2nd baby, a posture was set up intentionally for a photo shoot before cutting, haha…

When Sandra visits the hospital, she really misses Mummy and immediately hugs and tears… The first night with the baby? Sandra wasn’t use to it at all! But she’s such a wonderful sister just the 2nd night she knew her little brother cried middle of the nite and started “sayang” him. So sweet isn’t it? Yes it is, makes you forget about the tens of times getting up in the middle of the nights… *grin*

Hey brother looks just like me when I was born!

Singing and Dancing Away~
